Hi friends! Today is the first day in a week long series called Valentine's Day Card-A-Palooza. If you didn't read my last post check out the details here! I think we can all agree that Valentine's Day is really the cardmaker's holiday. It is entirely based around sharing cards with those you love! I thought it would be fun to get a jump-start on the Valentine's Day season and share five lovely card ideas that might work for you! Let's get right into today's card and video!
The first card features two all new 2013 Hero Arts stamp sets including Love Jar and My Favorite.
I layered the jar image, first stamping it on white cardstock, then on a piece of vellum. This sort of gives the look of frosted glass and looks awesome in real life! A few of the hearts in the jar also are super sparkly thanks to some Martha Stewart glitter.
I also got to bust out some washi tape for the background of those little sentiment strips. I'm finding more and more ways to use it everyday! To get the full run down and watch the process, watch the video below!
I also wanted to link up this card to several challenges! There are a
lot of fun ones going on right now, so be sure to check them out. I am
entering this card in: A Blog Named Hero's New Year New You and Simon Says Stamp New Something. Both of these challenges focus on using something new to you, like my new Hero Arts stamps!
I hope that you enjoyed the video and the first card in this series! Be sure to check back tomorrow for another card that is rather STARtling. ;-)
