The Twinery & Market Street Stamps blog hop!

Hello blog hoppers! Hopefully, you came to me by way of Linda at Burlap and Blue!
I am on the Design Team for Market Street Stamps, so when I heard about the opportunity to pair with another of my favorite companies, The Twinery, I was super excited.  I am obsessed with love baker's twine!  It looks great on cards, baked goods, home decor — the possibilities are endless.

Before I share my card, I have to tell you about the awesome prizes to be won. The Twinery is giving away one Ultimate Sampler Pack (retail value $25). Market Street Stamps is giving away a $25 shopping spree.  Pretty sweet right?  All you have to do to win is visit each blog in the hop on today, November 17th and tomorrow, November 18th, and leave a comment at each stop. Prize winners will be drawn at random and will be announced Saturday, November 26th on both The Twinery and Market Street Stamps blogs.

Here is my card for the hop!  It combines what is probably my all time favorite stamp from Market Street, and three of The Twinery's most gorgeous fall colors.  I wanted to make something I could easily replicate for Christmas or Thanksgiving cards to give out.  The twine makes the recipient feel like they are getting something extra special, and it's super simple to put together.

Next, head over to Grace's blog for more fun and inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by!

Inspired by...

Sadly our collab week has come to a close, but we still have one more little nugget to share with you!

Today we decided to choose a photo and create a card using it for inspiration.
Here is our pick (or pic — ha!):

I love so many things about it — the colors, the natural element, the texture.  It's really gorgeous.

So here is my take on it!  I went suuuuuuper literal, but I kind of love it!
Those leaves are from Amy Tangerine and they are sooo pretty in real life.  What I really wanted was some Perfect Pearls Mist to sprinkle in the background for some added texture, but alas, I had none. I think it's time to make a much needed shopping trip! Check out Danielle's take on the photo.  So simple and gorgeous!

That's all for me and all for the collab week!  Thanks so much to the amazing Danielle for spearheading this whole week way back when.  She has been the best to work with and she's super talented to boot!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Theme Day: Birthday!

We are already on Day #4 of Two Broke Girl's Collab week, and I have been having a blast. Today we decided to share a theme. Although they may be considered a bit "boring" to make, birthday cards are my number one used card.  I need them ALL the time! So we decided on the birthday theme.

As you can see, I have been loving me some thickers lately.  They really make a card pop and are so easy to use. Check out Neat & Tangled to see Danielle's Birthday beauty!
See you tomorrow for our last fun collab day! :-)

Day #3 — Shared set!

Happy Hump Day! I'm back for Day #3 of my collab week with Danielle. We have ALOT of the same stamp sets, so we decided to bust out one of them and get crafty. We chose to make a card using one of Lawn Fawn's newest sets, Turkey Day

It's only $3.99 and perfect for the upcoming season! Here is my creation using the adorable little turkey —

I colored simply with copics and added some of my favorite Thickers ever.
I can't believe our fun week is almost over! Head over to Neat & Tangled to see Danielle's take on this fun set.

C.A.S.E. it!

I am back for post #2 in my collab week with Danielle. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, check out yesterday's post here!

Today's task was to CASE (Copy and Steal Everything!) one of Danielle's cards. It turns out I love every card she makes, so it was super tricky to choose just one.  I wanted to choose something that wasn't my normal style, so I went with this clean and simple beauty.   I loved so many things about it — the ribbon, the repeated stitching and the clean lines.  Here is my take!

I would love to make sets of these for Christmas, using different colored ribbons and butterfly's and different sentiments.  The layout is perfect and was a fun one to steal!  That's all for today.  Be sure to check out Danielle's blog to see which of my card's she CASE'd!

Two Broke Girls Collab Week!

I am back for a fun filled week with my girl Danielle over at Neat and Tangled.  We are excited to present to you the very first "Two Broke Girls Collab Week!" Danielle and I have a shared obsession -- paper crafting, and more importantly shopping for paper crafting supplies. We decided that it's time to stop the spending for a week and put those hard earned supplies to use, giving you a full week of crafty inspiration. Be sure to check our blogs everyday at Noon EST for our posts.  Each day we will follow a different theme.

If you don't know Danielle (and her awesome work) here is a little more about her in her own words:

"Hello! My name is Danielle.  I'm a 27 year old teacher turned stay at home mom.  I'm lucky enough to be married to my best friend, and biggest supporter. Even though he doesn't understand this whole paper and stamps thing he still pretends to be interested! We have two little boys, and a chihuahua, Lucy.  I stumbled upon the world of paper crafting a little over a year ago and just can't seem to stop!  I love everything about stamps, ink, and paper, and it definitely helps me keep my sanity in a house full of boys! If I'm not crafting you can find me spending time with family and friends, reading, baking, crocheting, or running. Thanks Jess for teaming up with me this week :o)"

Alright! On to today's card! For Day 1, we decided to follow a color combo that Danielle came up with.

I have been challenging myself to make more masculine cards recently, and these colors felt a bit "boyish" to me.

I just love that tree from the Hero Arts Holiday Set.  So simple, but pretty.
Well, that is all for today!  Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to check out Danielle's take on these colors!
