Glue Dots fun!

I'm back with my very first post as a Glue Dots Design Team member!

This month our challenge was to make Halloween related items which is so easy to do this time of year.
First, I decided to put together a little Halloween card set.  You could give this as a gift, or distribute them to your favorite spooky friends!

I used a combination of inking, stamping, and of course embellishing to create these cards.

I loved using the Pop-Up Glue Dots to adhere all of my embellishments.  These provide that 3D effect and give my peace of mind that everything will stay in place when I am mailing them!

Spooky!

Boo!

Trick or Treat!

Picture overload!  Here are some more detailed instructions if you want to try your hand at making a set of your own!
1. Begin with three blank 4x4 cards made from Kraft cardstock
2. Add piece of patterned paper cut to 3.75''x3.75''
3. Embellish!  Add stickers, stamping, brads, letter stickers — use your spooktacular imagination!

Next, I switched gears and created a more elegant Halloween card. This one is for your fancy friends!
The subtle leaves in the background are my favorite. I love the tone on tone stamping look. They just blend into the background.

Here's the deets on this one:
1. Start with a standard A2 Sized card base
2. Emboss the base with a woodgrain embossing folder
3. Stamp leaves onto kraft card front
4. Add ribbon onto card front using Glue Dots Glue Lines
5. Adhere card front onto card base using Pop Up Glue Dots
6. Adhere center stamped focal point using Glue Dots
7. Embellish with gems or pearls!

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Have a happy Thursday! :-)

  2. Love the 3 card set! How did you make the letters for the sentiments, or where they already printed like that? I love how "Boo" & "Spooky have two different size O's.
