Show and Tell #3 featuring Framelits!

First things first — thank you SO so much for your sweet comments on the giveaway post. The giveaway is open until Thursday night, so be sure to enter if you haven't done so already!
  For the most part, it seems like everyone likes the video posts and would love to see more.  So, we'll kick off this week right with Show and Tell #3.  I have another bi-monthly series in the works that will also kick off this week, so be on the look-out for that! :-) I'm nothing if not over ambitious!
I received a small order from Simon Says Stamp containing my new "must-have" product and the inspiration for this weeks Show and Tell — Sizzix Framelits.  Here are the deets straight from the folks at Sizzix —
"Cut what you see. It’s that easy and efficient with Framelits. These wafer-thin chemical-etched die sets feature the perfect print registration without interference from any ridges at the edge of the die opening. Plus, they’re excellent for clearly cropping photos and cutting windows in cards, bags, boxes and scrapbook pages. Designed to cut a single sheet of cardstock, paper, metallic foil or vellum, these dies also make great stencils and are perfect for layering to produce a 3-D effect."

The video showcases this particular set of framelits.  These bad boys allowed me to create two cards in about a half an hour — that's like a minor miracle for me.  Check out the video to watch the whole process! And scroll down for photos of the cards!

The touches of orange in the windows help to tie in the orange cardstock!

Of course the card wouldn't be complete without inked edges!  I used Pumice Stone here — one of my favorites!

Neither card would be possible without this Halloween set.  It's my "go to" set this season.

And this paper pack?!  It's my favorite Halloween one ever.  The patterns could work for other times of year too which I love. Versatility!

xoxo,
Jess

  7. These are such clever cards! I love that frame die you've used, they're clever for making one that's not quite like spellbinders to hook people in ;)

  8. Ooooh shiny pretty new dies...I could see them landing in my shopping card in the near future! That is a super-cute paper pad, too, and when paired with that perfect Halloween set, it made some awesome Halloween cards!

    {you know you're gonna get hop-ons if you drive the stair car, right?}

  9. I love that you made adorable Halloween cards! I'm loving the look of the frames! The bat you stamped on the base of the card really ties the frame work together with the rest of the card...and I love how you put the fence behind the house, I've been struggling with how to use the fence other than to make a background!
