Make a mat! (Bonus Printable!)

I love the layered look on cards, but I am often intimidated by it.  I am really, really mathematically challenged and only recently have I gotten the hang of cutting the standard size card! Ha!  So, I thought it would be helpful to create a printable that I could frame near my work area listing the standard card sizes, as well as different mat sizes.  You may have seen this in my craft studio tour.  I love it and look at it pretty much every time I make a card.

I know it is not the most clear paper that I could have printed it on, but that feather paper is currently the love of my life and for now, anything I print basically has to be printed on that paper.  It's a problem. :-)

I wanted to share this handy printable with all of you, just in case you have measuring challenges as well!  It fits perfectly in a standard 5''x7'' frame.

Thanks to the handy printable, I was able to whip up this layered card in no time.

All of these stamps are from the free PTI set that you received if you ordered over $100 back in June.  Of course, that is not that tricky to do when you would take one of everything over there!
I used the measurements for the 1/8'' mat, as well as the 1/4'' mat.  Easy peasy.

I will be back tomorrow with another printable and my Market Street Stamps Word on the Street #3!

  5. Thanks Jess, this will become a staple chart for me! I've always had to think too hard for the matte's to come out how I want!
