Oh my STARS! It is Wednesday already! I am here to quickly share my entry for the August Market Street Stamps sketch challenge! The challenge sketch is pictured above.
I used one of my favorite small sets from Market Street called BLAST OFF! It is *perfect* for boy cards and happens to pair brilliantly with the October Afternoon Rocket Age papers.
Okay. It's confession time. I am not the biggest sketch fan! BUT! I will say that when I had my mojo troubles for awhile, sketches were my saving grace. I didn't have to think as hard about where to place what. It was like a blue-map for a cute card. So, when it came time to do the Market Street sketch, I actually found myself enjoying it! I just had to gather all of my elements, place them on the page and presto chango — a pretty nice card was born.
Head on over to the Market Street blog to see the Design Team's take on the inspirational sketch. AND be sure to create a card of your own based on the sketch and enter it in the challenge! There may or may not be a kick butt prized involved. (Hint: there totally is.)

I love how great minds think alike. Our cards have lots of the same elements (but are still so different).
ReplyDeleteAnd I am with you on sketches. I don't really care for following them exactly, but I do enjoy a little jump start. I sometimes sketch what I plan to make, but as for following other people's sketches...not the biggest fan. But lots of times I do enjoy the result!

ReplyDeleteOoh, love this card! The stitches, the retro computer punch card, and what's this about Rocket Age October Afternoon paper? MUST HAVE IMMEDIATELY.
