After the heat wave we've been having, 82° is a total treat. I was inspired by the slightly cooler weather yesterday to create a summery card.
I had never even inked up that Hero Arts Flower Bird Garden, but I'm now seeing that the possibilities are endless with that one! On the card above, I clear embossed it using a paper from Basic Grey 6x6 Manilla Basics Pack. I love how it almost adds another layer to the card. I also was able to watercolor with my distress inks — my favorite!
Also, this was my desk when I left for work this morning! I never said I kept the place spotless!
Supplies:
Stamps — Hero Arts Flower Bird Garden, Hero Arts Sending Smiles
Inks — Versa Mark, Distress Ink (Antique Linen, Shabby Shutters, Dusty Concord, Mustard Seed, Fired Brick), Memento Tuxedo Black
Papers — Baisc Grey Manilla Basics 6x6
Other — Clear Embossing Powder, PTI Rustic Cream Twine

Jess, this card is really beautiful! It's such a great use of that stamp. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job! I've just really started stamping, though I make cards using other mediums. I just started buying copics so I guess I better start stamping to get my money's worth! Wish me luck.
