As a background!

Welcome to day two featuring the Hero Arts cupcake stamp from the Happy Birthday Cupcakes set.  Today I oped to use the stamp as a background. This is one of my favorite techniques to do with any stamp.  All it requires is a little patience to get the perfect placement.  I like to use my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get it lined up right every time.

I stamped the image over and over using Versamark Ink. I then colored in the hearts with Copic marker R36. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark as well and distressed the edges a bit with the Tonic distress tool.  A pretty simple card, but still packs a big punch.  It would be perfect for a Valentine's Day card or just to give to someone you think is sweet. ;-)

Two more cards featuring the cupcake are on their way, so be sure to check back tomorrow!

I am feeling SUPER rushed at work today.  I took off time yesterday, and I am paying for it today.  Turns out newspaper deadlines don't go away — even for the holiday weekend!

Friday's post is turning out to be a really long one, so get excited for that as well!
